- Pour water into the container and add your MOSSY BABY, voila!
CARE OF YOUR MOSSY BABY
- Your MOSSY BABY will enjoy a good spot in the shade or indirect light. Remember, their natural habitat is at the bottom of lakes. They will get sun burned if they are in too bright of light, move it to a shadier spot and it will usually recover
- Change out the water every 2 weeks by running the entire glass container under a calm stream of tap water and let water naturally run out and refil
- Don't forget to turn or pet your MOSSY BABY every so often to make sure all sides get enough light and it keeps its shape!

COMMON QUESTIONS
- Can Marimo Moss Balls live outside of water?
Yes, they can last for up to 10 days in a plastic bag or a closed jar! As long as they don't dry out, they will be just fine. Plastic bags are their favorite way to travel.
- Why is my Marimo Moss Ball floating?
This is totally normal! When Marimo Moss Balls photosynthesize, they release tiny bubbles on the surface, sometimes air bubbles get trapped inside causing it to float, it will usually sink again after a couple of days. If it bothers you, you can gently squeeze the air bubbles out.
- How long with my Marimo Moss Ball live?
A LOOOONG time! They have been documented to live hundreds of years!
- How do you know your Marimo Moss Balls do not have zebra mussels?
All Marimos sold from my shop are responsibly collected by my distributor, and inspected and cleared by the USDA. The Marimos are then quarantined and treated for a minimum of 2 weeks to ensure no pests (including zebra mussels) are found on/inside the Marimos. Added to that, I propagate and continue growing them which allows me to check inside all Marimos before I sell them in terrariums. Please be aware of this issue happening when purchasing Marimo moss balls from any seller and make sure the Marimos you are buying do not have zebra mussels attached to them!
